Mike Detmer, Republican candidate for Michigan’s 8th Congressional District, signed the U.S. Term Limits Pledge to cosponsor and support an amendment.

He released the following statement: “One of the biggest disconnects between voters and their elected officials is accountability,” By signing this Pledge I am holding myself accountable to the voters. Furthermore, if the Amendment cannot be passed, I will term limit myself to a maximum of 3 terms in the House.”

I, Mike Detmer, pledge that as a member of Congress I will cosponsor and vote for the U.S. Term Limits Amendment of three (3) House terms and two (2) Senate terms and no longer limit.
